The American Red Cross is urging eligible donors to give blood to help maintain a blood supply as diverse as the patients who depend on lifesaving transfusions. While most blood types fall into one of the major ABO groups, for a portion of the population, finding someone with the same blood type can be as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack.
You can help by encouraging people of all races and ethnicities to give blood to maintain a diverse blood supply. Attached is information about upcoming Red Cross blood donation opportunities in the community. If you have any questions, would like to set up an interview or need additional information, I’m glad to help. Thanks in advance for your support!
